Hello beautiful Mikash community, It’s Yasemin here, and I want to share my personal approach to achieving that next level radiant, healthy skin through a holistic routine. For me, skin health isn’t just about what we apply on the outside... it’s a full-body experience that starts from within. Here are some of the practices I incorporate into my daily routine that have made a meaningful difference for me.
1. Hydrate with infused water
Water is essential for hydrated, glowing skin, but I like to take it a step further by infusing my water with fresh ingredients like mint, cucumber, lemon, and berries. Not only does this add a refreshing taste, but it also delivers a few extra vitamins and antioxidants. Plus, it makes staying hydrated feel a little more luxurious and enjoyable.
2. Nourish with seasonal foods
Have you ever heard the saying, "you are what you eat"? This couldn’t be truer for our skin. When we put nourishing foods into our bodies, our skin reflects that health and vitality. But on the opposite, if we’re filling up on foods with hidden toxins, and bad numbers, our skin is often the first place those toxins try to escape. That’s why I try my best to prioritise fresh, seasonal fruits and veggies - especially ones that are rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Yes, I still love a good chocolate and treat food! But eating this way the majority of the time has helped me keep my skin vibrant.
3. Check in on your gut health
I’m a huge believer in the link between our gut health and our skin. When our gut is balanced and happy, it often shows up as clear, vibrant skin. 4. Practice positive self-concept
One of the most impactful things I’ve incorporated into my routine is self-concept work, which I do every day while applying my skincare. Standing in front of the mirror, I take a moment to look myself in the eyes and affirm positive, loving thoughts. This might sound simple and you might feel a little silly at first if this is new for you, but give it a try! It has transformed how I feel in my own skin. Practicing self-love and gratitude reminds me to appreciate my body, which has a powerful effect on my overall well-being.
